Information stored on your device

Your conversion history, favorite pairs and settings are saved in your browser's local storage so they are there next time. They are not sent to our servers, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings or the site's settings page.

Optional account and rate alerts

You do not need an account to convert currencies. If you choose to create an account to use rate alerts, we store your email address, your sign-in details and the alerts you set (currency pair and target rate) with our database provider, Supabase, in order to send the alerts. You can delete alerts at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@dixonappstudio.com.

Exchange-rate requests

To show rates, the site requests them from our rates service, which retrieves European Central Bank reference rates through frankfurter.app and, for currencies the ECB does not publish, from open.er-api.com. These requests contain the currencies you look up, not your identity.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used and how the site performs. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
