All major cards accepted. EZ-Link and SimplyGo (with foreign Visa/Mastercard contactless) cover transit.
Cash and ATMs
If needed, use DBS, OCBC, or UOB ATMs. SGD 50-100 covers a week of incidentals.
Tipping
Not customary. A 10% service charge is usually built into restaurant bills.
Scams to avoid
Extremely safe. Watch for inflated bills at clip joints in Geylang.

Before you go
- When a card terminal or ATM offers to charge you in your home currency, decline and pay in SGD; the conversion it offers usually includes a wide margin.
- Tell your bank you are travelling and carry two cards on different networks in case one is declined.
