EUR to CZK over the last 30 days

Over the 23 ECB working days from 2 Sept 2026 to 2 Oct 2026, 1 EUR ranged from 24.1861 CZK (8 Sept 2026) to 24.4705 CZK (2 Oct 2026), averaging 24.3170. Today's 24.4705 is above that average by 0.63%.

For 1,000 EUR, that range is the difference between 24,186.15 and 24,470.46 CZK: 284.31 CZK, or 1.18% of the low. The biggest one-day move was +0.25% on 9 Sept 2026.

Example: a bank or card that sets its rate 3% worse than mid-market would pay 23,736.35 CZK for 1,000 EUR today instead of 24,470.46, keeping 734.11 CZK. That 3% is more than this rate's whole 30-day range, so the margin you pay matters more than the day you convert.

Who converts EUR to CZK, and why

Euros to koruna is used by EU tourists visiting Prague, Brno and Český Krumlov, Germans and Austrians crossing for shopping and spas, and companies paying Czech suppliers and staff.

Tip: Prague exchange booths may advertise a great 'sell' rate but give you the far worse 'buy' rate. Czech law lets you cancel an exchange of up to €1,000 within three hours at no cost, but the easiest fix is to pay by card in koruna.

About the two currencies

The Euro (EUR) is issued by the European Central Bank and the national central banks of the euro area and used in 21 EU member states (Bulgaria became the 21st on 1 January 2026), plus Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City by agreement, and Montenegro and Kosovo unilaterally. Coins run from 1 cent to €2 and notes from €5 to €200 in daily use. The €500 note is no longer issued but remains legal tender. The ECB publishes the reference rates this site uses.

The Czech Koruna (CZK) is issued by the Czech National Bank and used in Czechia, an EU member that has kept its own currency. The koruna was created when Czechoslovakia split in 1993. From 2013 to 2017 the central bank capped it at 27 koruna per euro. Many Prague shops show euro prices at poor rates.
