EUR to PLN over the last 30 days
Over the 23 ECB working days from 2 Sept 2026 to 2 Oct 2026, 1 EUR ranged from 4.3102 PLN (7 Sept 2026) to 4.3823 PLN (24 Sept 2026), averaging 4.3478. Today's 4.3775 is above that average by 0.68%.
For 1,000 EUR, that range is the difference between 4,310.24 and 4,382.32 PLN: 72.08 PLN, or 1.67% of the low. The biggest one-day move was +0.65% on 23 Sept 2026.
Example: a bank or card that sets its rate 3% worse than mid-market would pay 4,246.19 PLN for 1,000 EUR today instead of 4,377.52, keeping 131.33 PLN. That 3% is more than this rate's whole 30-day range, so the margin you pay matters more than the day you convert.
Who converts EUR to PLN, and why
Euros to złoty is used by Polish workers in Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland sending money home, EU visitors to Kraków, Gdańsk and Warsaw, and companies paying Polish suppliers and staff.
- Sending wages earned in the euro area to family in Poland
- Budgeting a Polish city break
- Paying Polish invoices from a euro account
Tip: Polish online 'kantor' platforms and multi-currency accounts often beat bank wires on margin. For regular transfers, compare the złoty received on a typical amount.
About the two currencies
The Euro (EUR) is issued by the European Central Bank and the national central banks of the euro area and used in 21 EU member states (Bulgaria became the 21st on 1 January 2026), plus Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City by agreement, and Montenegro and Kosovo unilaterally. Coins run from 1 cent to €2 and notes from €5 to €200 in daily use. The €500 note is no longer issued but remains legal tender. The ECB publishes the reference rates this site uses.
The Polish Zloty (PLN) is issued by Narodowy Bank Polski and used in Poland, an EU member that has kept its own currency. The 1995 redenomination swapped 10,000 old zloty for 1 new zloty. BLIK codes and contactless cards are the normal way to pay.
