EUR to TRY over the last 30 days
Over the 23 ECB working days from 2 Sept 2026 to 2 Oct 2026, 1 EUR ranged from 55.1652 TRY (2 Oct 2026) to 56.4867 TRY (9 Sept 2026), averaging 55.9540. Today's 55.1652 is below that average by 1.41%.
For 1,000 EUR, that range is the difference between 55,165.18 and 56,486.68 TRY: 1,321.51 TRY, or 2.40% of the low. The biggest one-day move was +0.48% on 25 Sept 2026.
Example: a bank or card that sets its rate 3% worse than mid-market would pay 53,510.22 TRY for 1,000 EUR today instead of 55,165.18, keeping 1,654.96 TRY. That 3% is more than this rate's whole 30-day range, so the margin you pay matters more than the day you convert.

About the two currencies
The Euro (EUR) is issued by the European Central Bank and the national central banks of the euro area and used in 21 EU member states (Bulgaria became the 21st on 1 January 2026), plus Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City by agreement, and Montenegro and Kosovo unilaterally. Coins run from 1 cent to €2 and notes from €5 to €200 in daily use. The €500 note is no longer issued but remains legal tender. The ECB publishes the reference rates this site uses.
The Turkish Lira (TRY) is issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye and used in Türkiye and Northern Cyprus. In 2005 six zeros were removed (1 new lira = 1,000,000 old lira). High inflation in the 2020s means the lira has lost value quickly, so tourist prices are often also shown in euros or dollars.
